The Misenchanted Newsletter #168: Slow News Month
There’s really only one news item this time around: The audiobook of The Summer Palace is now available from the usual suspects, completing the Annals of the Chosen trilogy, all read by Shawn Saavedra.
I do have the finished cover for Charming Sharra, the next Ethshar novel, to show you. Wildside has it scheduled for November 1 release. Not yet available for pre-order, I’m afraid. Cover art is by Vincent di Fate.
I’ve been doing a little writing on various stories new and old, but haven’t really made significant progress on any of them. Partly I’ve been busy with family and household stuff, but mostly, to be honest, I just haven’t felt much like writing lately. This happens sometimes; I expect to get over it shortly. I did get past a plot problem in the next big Ethshar novel, which doesn’t have a title yet; I’m calling it Dancing with Wizards as a placeholder name. I’m not sure why it was giving me trouble.
On the social media front, I’m now active on Mastodon as @wattevans@mstdn.social. I’m also still on Twitter as @wattevans, but no longer post there (though I still like and retweet occasionally). I’m active on Facebook, and have accounts I check regularly on CounterSocial, Post, and Tribel, though I’m not active on those three.
Paid subcribers will shortly be getting more of the “Rayguns, Elves, & the Walking Dead” columns I wrote for NINK, and probably another story or two.
Thank you all for your support.
